Prosistel

Radio Projects

I have had my Prosistel Antenna rotator for about five years when it developed a fault, (smell of burn from the control box).
On investigation both the +12 and the -12 volts regulators had failed, these + and - 12 volts are fed up to the 10K potentiometer in the rotator unit itself. The fault was caused by a capacitor that had gone short circuit. There are two disc capacitors that are just visible in the photo's below.

I guess it is possible that one or both may fail again so I have modified my unit and fitted fuses in both the 12 volt positve and negative feeds in order to protect the three terminal requlators.
