Softrock

Ham Radio > SDR

Pictures right and right below are of my first encounters with SDR this started out as a 40m/80m receiver and this is now going to be used with the K3 as a panadapter.
More to come on that one in 2011.

Just a bit of info on
Software Defined Radio (SDR).

In 2008 I built up a Softrock TX/RX Ver 6.3 (160metre version) that runs just about 1watt output still very much in it's early stages, although it has been air tested with Ron G4GIQ. There is a very good site by Richard Robson WB5RVZ on buliding up the various softrock kits produced by Tony Parkes KB9YIG as well as all the four articles by Gerald Youngblood on SDR. Alan Reeves G4ZFQ has a very good site with a lots of SDR related links.
