Knight-Kit V-44 VFO

General Description: This Knight-Kit V-44 VFO dates back to at least the early '60's. It covers the 80, 40, 20, 15 and 10 meter bands. It has 4 tubes: a 6BH6, which serves in a series tuned Clapp oscillator, a 6AK6 buffer, a EZ90/6X4 rectifier tube and an OA2 voltage regulator. The power supply is built in and was placed at the top of the unit to minimize heat related frequency variations (see pics here ). The VFO output is in the range of 10 V.

This VFO was donated to QCWA Chapter 85 and sold at auction.
