System
Overview
BeachNet
is a linked network
of open
Amateur radio
repeaters covering nearly
9000 square miles in
southwest Washington State.
A transmission over any of our
repeaters is heard on all
stations in the system,
blanketing
the southern
coastal counties, an
impossible task from any one site.
BeachNet
works closely with
local Emergency
Management Agencies to
provide disaster communication
support in the public interest.
For general system information
click the menu buttons on the left.
For a detailed discussion of a
specific repeater
click on its
frequency at the top or
bottom of any page,
or its location on the
Coverage
Map. Most important of all,
key up and use our system.
Get to know the other users and where
our system works (and doesn't work).
The best way to be prepared for an
emergency is to be familiar with the
people and infrastructure that comprise
BeachNet.
