Log #3 August 12th, 2001
This past week has flown by.  I'm making way on the Job front with a  
few solid leads.  I will update on that very soon (hopefully).  I am still
awaiting to secure a job before commiting to an apartment, but I have
a good idea where I want to be.....Coral Gables or Miami Beach.

I especially wanted to share some comments about this weekend.  On
Saturday (August 11th) morning I travelled to Wellington, Florida in
northern Palm Beach County.  There was a Weather Clinic and
Skywarn Picnic hosted by The Wellington Radio Club.  Storm Chasers
from the Weathervine group spoke at the Weather Clinic and it was
televised live on the internet, and is archived on there site so everyone
can see, you may even see me in it.  Then around 3pm I headed back  
to Miami.

Later that afternoon I was getting ready to head down to the Southern 
tip of Florida to do some "mudding" on an ATV with my nephews
Calin and Charles.  Below, the middle picture is 'before', and the last 
picture is 'after'.  It was a blast.  This was all after dark, and down
where we were, there isn't much light, but the moon was out strong,
and the ATV's headlights where quite strong too.  We also went
swimming in the nearby canal.  When it was all said and done it was
2 am and were still had to go back and shower.  Sleep finally came
around 4am. Sunday was mostly recovery of sleep and a few things
yet to be down around the house.
