Log #2 August 3rd, 2001 Rain, Rain, and more Rain. We've been getting quite a lot here in Southern Florida. Miami-Dade County is OK for now, but some of the counties to the north (Martin County especially) are experiencing flooding from the rains. All this rain is from Tropical Storm Barry, which is out in the Gulf of Mexico. It's moving away from Florida, and toward New Orleans, so the rain won't get any worse, but it's still lots of rain. Even with all this rain, Southern Florida is still below normal as far as total seasonal rain fall. It looks to continue raining through Saturday, making it 5 days of constant rain. Sunday thru Tuesday, Thunderstorms are expected, but there should be periods of sunshine in-between. Look for some Hurricane links on my weather page, and the Links Page here in the Florida pages ------------------------------------------------------------------------ To review all the logs, click on the links to the right To view all the pictures, click on the Pictures Link on the left. |
