Annual Amateur to Military Crossband Test
- Other Hours
The Department of Defense will host this year’s Armed Forces Day (AFD) Crossband Test, scheduled for May 10, 2025. This annual event is open to all licensed amateur radio operators and will not impact any public or private communications. For more than 50 years, military and amateur stations have taken part in this event, which is an interoperability exercise between hobbyist and government radio stations.

47th Annual Redondo Beach Super Bowl 10K/5K
  • Our radio operations at yesterday's Redondo Beach Super Bowl Sunday 10K/5K went well.
  • We thank our operator team serving alongside Redondo Beach PD volunteers.
  • Serving from DCS were: Deane, S-50; Jeff, T-230; Mike, T-109; Ray, T-88; Raymond, L-04; Steve, T-101; and Diana, S-60. 
  • We also thank the Palos Verdes Estates NART radio group for allowing use of their W6PVE repeater during this event.
