WHAT IS C.I.R.C.L.E. 5

The CIRCLE OF INTEGRATED RADIO COMMUNICATION LINK FOR EMERGENCY, INC. (C.I.R.C.L.E. 5) is an association duly registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission as a non-stock, non-profit, non-political and non-sectarian corporation. Founded on February 14, 1998 by alumni members of Alpha Phi Omega, C.I.R.C.L.E. 5 was established further with the following

OBJECTIVES:
1. To develop camaraderie and good fellowship among amateur radio enthusiasts, thereby enhancing opportunities for service to each other;
2. To promote, encourage, and foster high ethical and technical standards of ham radio thru development of progressive skills in the service and technology of radio communications;
3. To recognize, and enhance application of speedy communication with the use of ham radio as an opportunity for service to the community not only in the cities or provinces, but also in the entire country thru voluntary non-commercial communications; and,
4. To foster advancement of international understanding, goodwill and peace thru a world fellowship of amateur radio enthusiasts who are united in the ideal of Service.
Basically an amateur radio club, C.I.R.C.L.E. 5 is affiliated with the Philippine Amateur Radio Association (PARA) - the national organization of amateur radio in the Philippines; and is accredited with and licensed by the National Telecommunications Commission to operate as an amateur radio club with the call sign of DX5APO.
C.I.R.C.L.E. 5 is the first amateur radio group of the Alpha Phi Omega International Philippines, Inc. and is recognized by the National Council as an institutional-based alumni association with the chapter name of DX5APO.

"To develop among the members their full potential for self-actualization, productivity and social usefulness to effectively contribute to national development. Likewise, to inculcate and enhance positive values among the members vital to moral regeneration and social transformation."
VISION
"We envision to be a leading amateur radio organization, committed to the establishment of amateur radio clubs in every region nationwide and the development of membership imbued with the highest standard of amateurism that cares to the quality of life with complete compliment, guided by the cardinal principles of LEADERSHIP, FRIENDSHIP and SERVICE."
