Yes Sun Spot's are appearing again, the sun's awake.
This site has been constructed for the purpose of relating my florida radio operation. Living near a wildlife preserve there are a lot of critters to contend with. My area is known for Weeki Wachee Springs, the City of Live Mermaids, on the Gulf Coast of Florida.
Weeki Wachee Springs
Located about an hour north of Tampa at the crossroads of U.S. 19 and State Road 50, Weeki Wachee is more than just a mark on a road map. Weeki Wachee is an enchanted spring -- the only one of its kind in the world -- and one of Florida’s oldest and most unique roadside attractions. For almost 60 years.
The Seminole Indians named the spring “Weeki Wachee,” which means “little spring” or “winding river.” The spring is so deep that the bottom has never been found.
Summer Lightning
Another thunder boomer on the way! what else is new. All summer their are lightning storms twice a day living in lighting alley. The storms are a natural occurrence as the heated air rises and brings in moist air from both east and west coasts of the Florida peninsula. During the summer, high altitude shear winds are not present and by afternoon, the clouds continue to build into the familiar anvil shape of cumulonimbus clouds, and away we go! The storms occur almost every afternoon . Some big storms generate up to 40,000 lightning strikes Maybe I should disconnect the antennas..
