MODULE II - OPERATING PROCEDURES
A. THE AMATEUR CALL SIGN (QRZ). The Amateur Call Sign is the official identification issued by the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) to an amateur station, club station or station installed for field trips/DX-peditions or special events. Amateur call signs are formed by the prefix DU for Classes A, B, and C; DY for Class D; DX or DZ for club station or station installed for field trips or special events, followed by a figure corresponding to the amateur radio district where the station is located, and a suffix of not more than 3 letters. Class A amateurs are given one option to change the prefix of their call sign to 4D, 4E or 4F. |   |

B. THE TACTICAL CALL SIGN. The Tactical Call Sign is used usually during emergency operations or monitoring activities to achieve quick communication between the operators involved. A Tactical Call Sign may reflect a function, location or agency. Thus, avoiding confusion during communication. The NTC, however, requires amateur radio operators involved in such operation to use the tactical call sign with the amateur call sign.
