Hackettstown Center for the Arts Amateur Radio Station
The Hackettstown Center for the Arts is a non-profit, 501(c)(3), multi-purpose cultural venue catering to the artistic needs of northern New Jersey. Located in The Strand Theater, the Center is a regional hub for concerts, recitals, theatrical productions, poetry readings, art and photography shows, film festivals and more. An amateur radio station has been installed on site for the passing of non-business messages through the National Traffic System (NTS), communicate via voice and digital on VHF, UHF and HF frequencies, perform radio experiments and provide an alternate location to teach the Radio Merit Badge for the Boy Scouts of America. Additionally, the facility has sound and lighting systems and can hold up to 70 patrons for meetings and presentations related to amateur radio by individuals and clubs as well as other community events.
