CDP Tool PDP Tool Extensive Conversion Simple Conversion Control Heads

FM1100 and 1200 radios.

There is no such thing as an FM1000 because the name refers to a series of transceivers rather than to an individual type. Your radio is either an FM1100, FM1200 or FM1300 and each of these comes in an incredible number of sub-variants for different PMR bands, bandwidths, power levels etc. To add to the confusion there are 4 types of control head: basic, standard (trunking), standard (non-trunking) and numeric keypad.

Key facts about the FM1000 series

The most essential part is the type label on the back of the transceiver. Read it and understand it.
Designed and manufactured by Philips Telecom Cambridge.
Brilliant automatic RF tracking concept obviates re-tuning.
Contains up to three MCS51 microcontrollers, each running PROM-resident software.
Requires PDP or CDP tools for user configuration programming.
