...........Guy.. ----- .XYL Machteld

My radio shack a few years back My homebrew VHF / UHF antennas outside
My shack, nothing fancy and almost all vintage equipment Some of my homemade antenna's...

My family
(left to right top to bottem):
Machteld, Guy, Jonathan, Kenny+
In loving memory of our son Kenny Roels
4th of July 1987 - 12th October 2011
Me and my family Beautiful song for Kenny. Monk and Neagle: Dancing with the angels
You are always in our hearts, never to be forgotten but to be missed beyond words.
Kenny, until we see you again in God's perfect World above. We love you forever.
Your song...

A temporary portable
satellite setup in my garden using a 5 element home made yagi
My deep space satellite dish and some of my experiments
Working PCSat, ISS etc... 90 cm satellite dish

I started to listen to shortwave radio (SWL) when I was 14 years old (1977) started with a old Realistic DX-100L (picture and detailed info about the DX100L) analog allmode receiver, and it still works today (now using a Yaesu FRG-100 for RX). I did my HAM radio operator exam (Privaat radiotelefonist/telegrafist) in Brussels hence receiving my official license in 1995 (ON1DHT).
Still enjoying experimenting with antenna's, homebrewing, satellite communications, programming radioamateur related software, DX'ing, digital communications, VHF DX, SSTV on air with different types of software, packet (300baud, 1k2, 9k6), PSK31, Hell, Pactor, RTTY, building home made receivers/transceivers, antennas etc, low power communication experiments (QRP), and many things
more...HI!
In 2001 I got my A-class license ON6MU call.
My lovely XYL, Machteld, got her novice license in 2005 as ON2DHT.
BTW:
For those who doubt the pronouncement of my last name "Roels"... It is phonetically pronounced as "Rules" in English...
