We found a house in Clover, SC on 10 acres. The zoning board told my wife that antenna structures have a height limitation of 70'. Not bad, but I spoke to the zoning board directly to learn that the height limitation was exempted altogether for Amateurs! Yes! A copy of the appropriate Code sections and a building permit application were on their way to me.

I spoke to one of the building inspectors and wrote a letter pledging 'Amateur-only use of tower' and FAXed that along with the Trylon specs with my completed application. All looked good - but they can't issue permit until I actually own the property, so all I have to do is stop by the office after I close on the house to show the deed and I'm off!

I then contacted Steve to order the tower - it will ship to SC in September!

We closed on the house without a hitch. My wife and I wandered around the 'back 40' to pick out a spot. Might as well – the movers haven’t arrived yet!
