The Ham in Me

I know that you don't die to know every little detail about my Ham becoming history so I 'll just tell you the very basic things and the I'll let you see someof my shack and other pictures.
I've started by being a short wave listener YO8 - 18320/VS since 1982 then I've passed the exams for the Ham Certificate in 1986 but got my licence only in January 1990 after the changing of the political power in December 1989 and I became YO8RTR. In 1996 I've got the second class licence. During the last years of study I was in charge with YO8KGX the Club station of The Technical University of Iasi.
At the end of September 2013 I've received my new callsign YO8PS. I'm proud to have my initials as the callsign but now I have to take over again working the World. So, for the next period, a lot of QSOs will be "new country" for me.
I am very interested in digital modes, satellite communications, contesting and lately in VHF.
