Sporadic-E

However I can only be QRV on 144 MHz during weekends, I was lucky several times and worked some very good DXs and two new DXCCs (9H and SV) in 1999. All the activities were from OK2KJT's base in Dusna at 700 m a.s.l.

20th of June 1999

The QSOs below have been worked under radio club's call sign OK2KJT in a Czech Activity Contest (which turned in DX chasing at the end of the contest). Used RIG was R2CW TCVR, 300 W PA, 6 x 13 el. DJ9BV  + 16 el. F9FT. The QTH is located at 700 m a.s.l.

All signals were typically 59+++ with a high pile-up from OK, OE, SP, DL  and HA. Also heard some other SV but being in a DXing fever, I did not record call signs and locators, hopefuly next time...

18th of July 1999

Also third Sunday in month - the Czech Activity Contest. The conditions on 2m were better than usually. We (OK2KJT) achieved our the best result all the times in the contest in the morning. We worked 206 QSO within 3 hours and 4 QSOs over 800 km. In the afternoon the weather became "sporadicable" and made me wait. Finally, I worked 6 QSOs including new DXCC - 9H. Used RIG was R2CW TCVR, 300 W PA, 6 x 13 el. DJ9BV + 16 el. F9FT + 4 x 4 el. OK2ZZ. Quite low pile-up, all stations easily workable.
