Main HF Radio Station and Antenna Systems

The main IARMS trasmitting site is located in central Italy in a small ancient town - Martinsicuro - along the Adriatic coast in Latitude 42° 53' North and Longitude 013° 55'East. Martinsicuro is a very old fishing center and untill 1980 a large part of local population worked on board big fishing vessels busy in fishing campaigns in all the seas of the world. The maritime culture is a very important part of the inhabitants of this town and many of them have studied in Nautical Colleges to become Captains and Merchant Marine Officers of Deck and Engine Departements. Nowadays people continue to work at sea but mainly in coastal fishing or on board merchant ships. To respect the maritime culture of this zone in the year 2000 the IARMS started the operation with daily weather reports  and routeing service for sailing vessels and yachting communities.

The main radio station is composed of some amateur radio equipments for HF bands.
