About

I have been a licenced amateur since 1970.

In the 80’s Basingstoke Radio Club staged regular 2m foxhunts, which started my passion for Radio Direction finding.

In 2002 G3ORY introduced IARU, radio orienteering to the UK, and re-kindled the interest in ARDF, which was beginning to fade a little. As a consequence, this site features some of the many ARDF projects that I designed, used and developed.

I have had no formal electronics training. Never deeply understanding the mathematics of electronics , subsequently, most of my projects started from published work of others, optimized by trial and error and, occasionally, by my own inspired ideas.

I don’t generally sell kits or components, but when I do have items to sell, they will appear on eBay, to be found by scanning the following QR code:-
