·
30.Jan.09 16:30-17:06UTC –my 1st
QSO with DF6NM! i had a sked with Markus and he copied my “0”. Capture of our
QSO:
DF6NM
in DFCW3 and I in QRSS3; Markus calculated my ERP to 1.8mW
(Dein Signal war ca. 1 µV/m
hier.
EMRP /dBm = E / dBuV/m -50 + 20 log (r/km) + 0.02 * r/km = 0 - 50 + 46 +
4 = 0
also ca 0 dBm = 1 mW abgestrahlte Leistung oder 1.8 mW ERP bezogen auf einen
Halbwellendipol)
·
28.Jan.09 Test transmission on
137.7798 in QRSS60: Henny,
PA3CPM sent me this snapshot:
·
26.Jan.09 permanent QRV on 137KHz: i installed my 34m
longwire a bit higher with a 8m vertical part. Matching between loading coil
and transmitter is still not good and I loss a lot power. However signal is now
strong enough to see my QRSS3 signal in the grabber of DL2HRE and DF6NM:
·
14.+15.Nov. 2008 – 3rd time on
137KHz: unfortunately high QRN level, I tested with Markus, DF6NM and
he received my signal with ~0.6-0.8mV. Good enough for QRSS3
when QRN is low. Fine signal from him in DFCW:
(on
top my signal, sri I sent MN instead NM! DF6NM in DFCW calling me)
·
13.+14.Oct. 2008 – 2nd
time I transmit on 137KHz: result was very mixed. First I killed
my 250W amplifier again due some oscillations. Monday morning I tx then just
with the driver and 5W. Very impressive to saw my QRSS60 signal just with this
low power in the DF6MN grabber! In the evening I used my backup PA with
~50-60W. A sked with DL1EIE was not successful, but I could see my QRSS3 signal
weak in the grabber of DL2HRE. However this evening my QRSS60 signal was not that
strong in grabber of DF6MN and DL2HRE as I hoped before. On Tuesday morning I
had a sked with Gerhard, DK6NI -> I had a ufb copy of his QRSS3 signal and
he was able to copy me in QRSS10 just on a small active antenna :-)

10.May 2008 I did my 1st
test (beacon) transmission in QRSS30/60 on 137.776KHz (setup was very
experimental, see details under “my
station”). I was very impressed about following successful reports of my
longwave signal! [My special thanks to Gerhard, DK6NI and Arnim, DL1EIE for
all their help and support and to Heinz, DM2BHG for many used LF parts of my
station!]

March 2007 i solder my "LF Exciter" -
which is a state-of-the-art unit (transmitter) especially for LF enthusiasts
and "Lowfers". With very good stability and 1W sinewave output, the
unit can be used as a low power transmitter, signal generator, or to drive high
powered transmitters. Modes are Morse & ASK incl. QRSS, ASK image like Feld-Hell,
FSK, DFSK (DFCW), MFSK (MT-Hell), MFSK or IFK data like Jason. Operating range
0.08 - >400 KHz. I purchased from DF1CY the "LF exciter" board and
programmed microcontroller. The rest was soldered in a couple of hours.
Here some snapshots where i transmit
on 137.7 KHz:
