Greetings,
Looking for a bit of direction in implementing a ground ( power also) grid
on a two layer PWBA.
The information that I have seen says to first route the critical traces
(that is always done). Then lay in the ground gridding on one side, and
power on the other, orthogonally.
My Questions:
What is a common spacing between adjacent ground(and power) traces?
What is a minimum ground(and power)trace width?
Should power or ground be on the component side (I would intuitively say
power)?
And of course, does this approach really work "now-a-days" since DIP
packages are no longer the rule?
Any comments would be great
Regards
David Spencer
