Check out the backplane profile in the 1394 High Speed Serial Bus
specification for speeds up to 400 Mbps. For gigabit applications of 1394,
a connector was specifically designed and tested for the so called Device
Bay initiative. Both of these connectors should meet your requirements for
LVD signaling and hot plugging. Contact AMP, Molex or FoxConn (408)
749-1228 and ask for specs and samples.
