                           The KT4PA  Radio Station

Station Setup

  • HF Transceiver:

  • Kenwood TS 450-S, about 100 watts output with a Kenwood MC-85 desk mike. The DC power supply is a Kenwood PS-30.
  • VHF Transceiver:

  • Yaesu FT 5200 dual band monitoring our club frequency of 146.955 down 600,  Running off 
    an  Astron RM-20 power supply .

  • Antennas:

  • The HF antenna is a Force-12  7 Element Beam. The longest element is 34 feet long , all  mounted on a 12 foot boom about 65 feet above the ground on a rohn 25 tower. Located over the beam is an Antron 99 at 75 feet that I use for 10 and 17 meter work.
    My VHF antenna is a Cushcraft AR270B duel Band located 60 feet up in a pine tree.

  • IRLP & Echolink:

  • We are operating an IRLP node # 4376 and an Echolink node # 130217 all connected to
    the 146.805 repeater located at my QTH. We welcome all users of  IRLP and Echolink on the system.  The Repeater is a MSR2000 and is PL toned at 107.2. Its an open repeater so if your "in town" feel free to use it. .
