Amateur radio is very diverse in technical knowledge and its past history.

The King of Jordan (callsign JY1) is a good example of it's diversity.

To find an amateur radio related interest to Lawrence of Arabia through the King of Jordan was found to be interesting.

Contacting people all over the world by radio, which often leads to developing international friendships.

Communication through amateur space satellites, or with the International Space Station (which carries an amateur radio station) is possible.

Amateurs help at time of emergencies and disasters and help other organisations with their communications.

We help other voluntary organisations and visit Bletchley Park and other places of interest.

We explore the history of amateur radio including famous radio amateurs such as King Hussein etc.

The Foundation licence is your gateway to the world of amateur radio

It’s a great way to meet people and make new friends!

Join the world of amateur radio and expand your horizon.

The club is affiliated to the Radio Society of Great Britain (RSGB), a national body representing amateur radio and is a registered training and examination centre.
