Audio graph 100khz-4000Khz transmit bandwidth using the stuff below…some tweaking to do...

To start with I just used the supplied hand Mic and default settings on the radio. I then decided to use my Scarlett condensor Mic that came with a USB audio pre-amp for my lad’s guitar. I progressed from that to a Heil PR-781, however after playing more, the 781 is a bit bassy for my voice. I changed to a Rode NT2A which connects into an external audio rack and then finally into a passive DiBox providing audio isolation, which in turns feeds directly into the 13pin ACC port on the back of the radio, I made a pigtail to enable a PTT button. I have a bad influence of radio friends (lol), and I have become very interested in the audio siide of what the radio can do, as you look further down the page you can see that now all audio processing is done externally to the radio… I’m still learning what can be achieved and having loads of fun.

Audio starts with your mic - I now understand that all mics are different and have different frequency responses and vocal characteristics.

Audio isolation - I have one from the audio rack to the mic input at the rear of the radio and also one from the audio output of the radio to external speakers.
