Anan-10 Audio set-up

To start with I decided to use my computer mic and the VAC program. This didnt feel right and I also experienced some latency issues. They were probably non-noticable and it was probably my way of telling myslef I wanted a proper mic. Sadly my B1 mic had died some time ago and I ended up using a Scarlett Mic that came with a USB audio device for my lad’s guitar. Its a condensor mic and I powered it from a Behringer Shark DSP 100 - as you may have already read, condensor mics arent the best choice. Recently I decided a change was due and I picked up a little first mike from Maplin Electronics for around £14.00 - seems to work very well and I like that the PTT is built into the mike.

The mic is powered by the Behringer and then feeds directly into the front mic jack of the radio. All EQ’ing is done via software. I’ve had some hoc-ups along the way. I will shortly be posting details of what I’ve done.
