Contest

As a club we are very active in most contests and whilst we do not always aim to win, we try and make our station perform the best it can.

Most of our contesting is at VHF level although we do take part in some of the bigger HF contests depending on how many operators we have available.

In the past we have had some successes such as 1st in JO00 square in the PW QRP contest 2003 and also 10th in the RSGB 144Mhz AFS 2002.

We are always looking for new members to join our contest team, anybody can join the team and help us to improve our position. Whether you are experienced or not, it does not matter as we hold training nights once a month to make sure that everybody can cope with being active on the air.
