Time to clean up the Engine Compartment

The main front wiring harness runs down the left frame rail, and needed moved to get it away from the headers and move the power distribution box out of the engine compartment to make room for the YSi intake and filter. The harness has a large bulkhead connector on one end, and the power distribution box at about the half way point. I cut a 3 5/8 hole, and rerouted the harness to under the fender, This will clean up the engine area, and keep the harness away from the headers. Once every thing is secured and weather proofed, and the headers are installed, it will be time for some boost.

The wiring harness is too close to the headers, and the
power distribution box will be in the way of the Vortech intake

Now the harness is gone

The Wiring Was Too Close, And Needed To Be Moved

That pipe closest to the harness is the rear cylinder primary being routed around the steering shaft. I got it all fitted, but it was a little too close to the harness. Since I needed to move the harness, I decided to get it out of the engine compartment all together.

The harness pulled out

Where The Hole Will be Cut

A 3 5/8 inch hole saw was used. The piece cut out will have a notch for the cable trimed from it, and welded back it place and a grommet added.

The YSi will go where the P/S pump is, and the inlet and filter will be located where the power distribution box was.
