WHAT IS OUR PURPOSE ?

The purpose of the Marconi Amateur Wireless Society is to encourage experimentation in all aspects of amateur radio in a spirit of friendship and goodwill.   Throughout history, radio amateurs have been at the forefront - leading the advance of technology to new heights for the benefit of man.  We try, through open and informal meetings, to advance the cause of amateur radio in the Cape Breton area.  All are welcome - there is no membership fee and no strictly formal structure.    If you want to have fun with any aspect of amateur radio and have something to add, we would like to meet you. At most of our get - togethers we try to have some type of educational presentation...
