Before war, there were many
active radio clubs in Bosnia-Herzegovina. Nowdays, only
few of them are active on shortwaves. There are many
reasons: some of them have not place for work, some have
not equipment, but some of those clubs have everything,
but there is noone intereseted to be active from them.
Radio clubs, except prafix T9, also have number 1 and
three letters in sufix (for example, T9 1 CMN or T9 1 EGR)
and in the last two years there are some special callsigns
(like T90E, T90U, T90K etc.) which are active on HF.
T90E, Radio Club Zavidovici T91CMN - is active on
HF in the last three years. I made more than 7000 QSOs in
the last three years, and other members made over 1000
QSOs. I am trying to be active in international contests
with this callsign, but I need better equipment for better
scores.
T90U, Radio Club '9' T91FRS - is radio club from
Ilidza, Sarajevo. Tafro Emil T99W, who is president of
this radio club, made many world records in international
contests, and also did many great scores. Now you can also
hear him working with this callsign.
T90K, Radio Club Kresevo - is mostly active on 160m
band. Max T94YT made some records on that band, and he is
keeping his activities on that band mostly.
T90A, Asocijacija Radioamatera Bosne i Hercegovine
- is mostly active on VHF/UHF/SHF contests. I have never
heard them working on HF, but I saw what they can do on
higher bands.
Wright now in Bosnia we have only one contest group -
Sarajevo Contest Group. There were some activities about
making Bosnian Hercegovinian Contest Club, but there were
not many interested hams for that, so radio amateurs from
Sarajevo made their own contest group.
