ABOUT
Short wave listening since 1982. Since 2003 I have been listed by Czech Radio Club under the SWL sign OK2-35916 and active as Amateur Radio Listener. Recently, since 2018, I am active Amateur Radio Operator (whenever I can be), that means under very various circumstances of my unfortunately so much limited leisure time.
I like small contesting within my limited working conditions. Also trying to take regularly part in local contests. I'm glad to make random QSOs with /p, /m, /am, /mm, /b stations or with stations in SOTA, GMA, POTA actions. My pleasure to make QSOs with special event stations.
I am not much comfortable with too long or empty ragchewing and regular small talks. Oh, talking about chewing a rag... Damn, definitely I am not good at it (perhaps due to fact I never been used to), you know those clumsy listeners on the air.
I work mostly on HF in CW/SSB mode, occasionally on VHF/UHF in FM mode. Generally, I am not too much active on VHF, UHF (using it mostly out there, on the go).
I'm not a big fan of FT8 and DIGI modes, but recently - for the last years discovering the world of SDR (receiving, digital signal processing).
So, that's all boring a little. And now better, let's back to the radio knob...
