As a reminder, Amateur Radio is a non-commercial radio communication service whose primary aims are public service, technical training and experimentation, and communication between private persons. Amateur Radio operators often communicate with each other recreationally but also provide communications for others at public events or in times of emergency or disaster.

General Information

ARRL: The American Radio Relay League "is the principal representative of the Amateur Radio Services [in the U.S.], serving members by protecting and enhancing spectrum access and providing a national resource to the public."
Ham Radio Online features newsletters, feature stories, real-time propagation, ionospheric and auroral condition reports, world-wide disaster information with real-time major quake map displays and satellite weather imagery.
Amateur Radio Elmer's Resource Directory: 170 or so volunteers who have agreed to be listed, comprising various levels of expertise in over 60 areas of specialization within amateur radio.
Federal Communications Commission: an independent [U.S.] government agency charged with regulating interstate and international communications by radio, television, wire, satellite, and cable.
