SR - Transceivers

Hallicrafters didn't make a lot of transceivers, compared to the number of receivers and transmitters they produced. Any "SR" prefixed transceiver you find is a hard-to-find radio.

SR-150
SR-150 19-tube 80-10 Meter CW/SSB Transceiver. 150W PEP, 125W CW. It used 19 tubes, and a dual conversion receiver for SSB/CW transmissions on 80,40,20,15 & 10 meters. The SR-150 is complex and well-constructed, and is known for its quiet receiver. Production year 1961-63. Mobile mount MR-150 12V mobile power supply PS-150 qa

SR-160
SR-160 Transceiver. Scaled down SR-150, 17 tubes, single conversion receiver. Covers the complete 80, 40, and 20 meter ham bands. Power input of 150 watts for SSB and 125 watts for CW. The receiver sections has a sensitivity of 1 microvolt for 20 db signal-to-noise ratio, utilizes single conversion, a 5200 Khz IF, and a crystal lattice filter for selectivity. It has a 100 Khz crystal calibrator. The power requiremments are: 12V ac at 4.5 amps, -125V dc at 6.5 ma, 150V DC at 175 ma, and 575V DC at 200 ma. Production year 1961-63. Supplementary photos qa
