Donation Request

Dear Friends of the Camp Wilderness Amateur Radio Club,

Many wonderful things have happened since the formation of the Club with the gift of $2,000 to buy brand new HF equipment, the donation of the 147.390 Walker repeater to our Club, and the donation of the 85’ Rohn free-standing tower.  This past summer camp, we offered one session of the Radio Communication merit badge each week and the scouts were able to talk on the PICO net to the net controller and ask questions.  Next year we have many more new ideas for this Radio Communication merit badge class.

As you know, we have been raising money for the concrete base and for the erection of the tower.  The low bid was $8,300.  We have received donated monies from various organizations and some members.  As reported earlier this spring, the Council will be giving us money from the Camp Wilderness brick campaign, and it was reported that we were $1,000 short of our goal then.  We have now learned that we are $2,000 short of our goal.
