The latest EME activity from G4CCH - 27 January 2002
The year started out well with my first QSO and initial on 01 January.
Didn't make it for the 05 & 06 January... not feeling well, so gave it a miss.
High winds in the UK and across Europe during the activity weekend on 26 & 27 January had a big impact on activity. I could only operate for a few hours when the wind dropped, but still managed to make 13 QSO's.
Unfortunately, no new recordings this month. But my standings improved to: 165 Initials, 32 Countries, 6 Continents, 24 US States, 27 Large Grid Sq and 127 Small Grid Sq.
01 January
2300 GM0ONN M/MR for initial #165... eventually after several attempts in December. This time Iain was using circular polarisation 1.8m dish & 230W.
26 January

27 January
0016 W7SZ 53/52 on ssb... 1st time, 0021 K5JL 58/57 plus HB9BBD 58/57 for an ssb 3 way.
Heard W7BBM calling afterwards, but could not hold the dish on the Moon... so I quit at 0045.
I will be active again during the next activity weekend on 23 & 24 February.
