# 126 ..... GLOBALMAN EK-108D ELECTRONIC KEYER |
The EK-108D keyer is one of several designs marketed by Katsumi. It is not an iambic keyer, but operates more like a bug, with a single lever that makes dots and dashes.
The power jack is an 1/8-inch mono phone plug, and despite my best efforts this afternoon and evening, there isn’t a spare 1/8-inch phone plug anywhere in my stash.
this electronic keyer was purchased on eBay from Stockton California, USA

KATSUMI EK-9X |
This is other KATSUMI EK-9x
electronic keyer made by Katsumi
Electronic in Japan.
A very early solid
state electronic keyer. It has the
option of allowing the user to use it as
a bug, emulating the operation of a bug
semiautomatic key, for those who did not
want to make the switch to fully
automatic keyer sending. Uses a relay
for keying so it will work with any type
of keying line including cathode keying.
You could probably key a spark
transmitter with this thing.
It operates smoothly for what it is.
It's not very sophisticated but really
shows you how far the Japanese have come
since the early 1960's in terms of
electronic sophistication.

options, such as
variable
weighting,
variable monitor

memory,and
switchable
auto-spacing are
all standard
features of

other hand,
digital control
of transmition
speed is
satisfactory to
vary few, as
moast operators
find that they
simply cannot
accuratly judge
speed, espetialy
in responding to
another station.
The
KC-1 Kansan City
Keyer, from
Lance
Johnson
solves this
problem neatly,
indeed
elegantly,
giving the
operator a
continuously
variable-speed
controlpot,
while retaining
all the
desirable design
features, and
adding some
significant new
features of its
own. The
features that
