ARCWV VE Team Examinations and Classes

The ARCWV VE Team is composed of ARRL certified Volunteer Examiners. Classes are held periodically to help those interested in amateur radio to obtain their license. Contact Pattilynne, KM4ZGB, at 251-725-2735 for more information or to sign up for a future Technician license class. An exam session is usually held the week following the class.

ARCWV is hosting a three day youth "Radio Technology Camp" on August 6, 7, and 8, from 8:30 AM until 2:30 PM here at Westminster Village. The course material will introduce some basic electronics concepts and prepare the attendee for the entry level FCC amateur radio Technician Class license examination. Cost for the camp is $75 and the examination fee (also conducted here at Westminster Village) is $5 per youth under 18 years of age. The FCC charges $35 to issue a license good for 10 years but youth can receive a grant of $35 from the American Radio Relay League (ARRL) after paying the inital FCC license fee. A registration form for the camp is provided below.

VE Examination Sessions at Westminster Village in Spanish Fort, AL will be held on the following dates:
