Pictures below were taken on December 30, 2004, by Rudy, YC0DGQ, and sent it to me by another Rudy, YB0NM. Since the first day the relief volunteers focused on helping the survivors, evacuating the dead bodies on the ground and under debris, and cleaning up debris in the cities and villages. The river and the bridge on this pictures have been finally cleaned up on the second week of January 2005. Thousands dead people have been evacuated from this river using the excavators.
