The minimum usable frequency is the lowest frequency that can be reliably used for skywave communication during daytime. It is affected by various factors, including ionospheric conditions, time of day, and location.

The most reliable tool to determine the current LUF for a specific region is the D-Rap model.

For further explanation, please visit: Daytime Lowest Usable Frequency (LUF).

The project "Understanding HF Propagation," focuses on skywave propagation,
shows near-real-time indices and explains what the terms mean.
