MODULE II - OPERATING PROCEDURES
The stand by frequency of amateur radio in the Philippines is 7.045 MHz on the 40-meter HF Band. The frequency spectrum used is from 7.000 MHz to 7.099 MHz on the same Band. As a matter of Club policy, all member-stations are required to standby (QRX) on the calling frequency at all times. Exceptions: 3. When signing off : "CQ, THIS IS DY5AWZ. QRT. FREQUENCY CLEAR." (The station going QRT, however, should wait for a few minutes more, for possible contact before actually tuning off his/her station) 4. When checking out for a longer period (going out of town, for example). It is preferable, however, that the station going QRT for a longer period should advise the Control during the Net Call so that other stations may also be aware of his/her whereabouts. The standby frequency of other amateur clubs is also used for the same purpose, slightly differing at least in some procedures. Before using their frequency, listen first for a while and observe how the frequency is being used by their members. CALLING FREQUENCIES OF ACCREDITED AMATEUR CLUBS IN DISTRICT 5
