Hi Rey,
The reason why I chose it as one of the best for the day is plain and
simple: you went that extra mile to make your site more than just
another run of the mill site. For example, you added ham radio tutorials
- most sites don't do that and you didn't have to either, but you
did. While my best of cyber pinoy site is just done by me (I am not like
the webby award which is so much hoopla and politics and all that stuff),
I see 50 or more Filipino sites every day so I think I have the
experience and the know how what Filipino site is better and what is not.
Also, I am seeing a lot of good sites coming from the "provinces" now
... so it is no longer a Manila-centric world out there (in fact, I
really am weeding out those sites coming from the provinces - tomorrow's
update, August 1 is all from Davao) ... and that also was a criteria why I
chose your site. Manila people always think they are the best ... NOT!
This is what I like about the Internet - it is so democratic. For
example, I list Microsoft Philippines in the same category as a mom and
pop software outfit based in Daet, Camarines Norte for example. Equal
exposure.
At anyrate, hope you don't get tired working on your sites. It is very
challenging and addicting. If you've got any pictures of Tacloban and
surrounding areas, upload them. People always would like to see how Leyte
looks like :-).

Thank you for adding to the list all the three sites that I submitted. I'm
honored that my site 4F5AWW @QSL.NET at http://www.qsl.net/4f5aww/ is a
Golden Cowrie Awarde. I can't figure out what made my site an awardee but
this is really a pleasant surprise!
The Cyber Pinoy icon (Golden Cowrie) is proudly displayed on my front page
with the appropriate link. And the Tanikalang Ginto animated banner with
the appropriate link is also prominently displayed on all the three web
sites.
