A Moxon Tribander with a Straight |
Put up as much aluminum as you can if you want great signals, naaah. Not this time. Ever heard of the lowly PVC or Polyvinyl chloride pipe? Well, in my latest antenna project I thought of using PVC to encase the wires for the beam antenna I wanted to manufacture. It is a Moxon, an antenna originally designed by Les Moxon, G6XN. It is a two element Yagi with the element ends bent towards the other element ends resulting in a rectangular looking assembly. The twist though is that I made it a multiband plus the 10M driven element is kept straight. Also, using the open feed method, only the 20M driven element is attached to the coaxial cable. |
