BOATANCHORS

Boatanchors is a term affectionately used to refer to the older tube type radios. The name refers to the weight of these units, many of them exceeding 100 pounds! They were not very portable, and in many cases not very efficient...but they are beautiful and they can put out some power!

Some of my boatanchors:

Johnson

Swan

Radio Manufacturers Engineering

RME-45 (15-180m HF reciever)

RME-152 (2,6,10m converter for RME-45 reciever)

RME Speaker (finishes off this '40's recieving station...this was a tough one to get)

I have several accessories as well:

Swan

Gonset

Tektronix
