Why We Do What We Do?

Doug Howard and Tommy Davis, Joint Mission Control, proclaimed the mission
a success at Hillsboro, Texas. The launch went off with out a hitch, despite
Presidential downtime at his ranch in Crawford, Texas and the threat of a
weekend of bad weather from the National Weather Bureau.

Work will be added to this site over the next two weeks outlining the mission
and the results. We also got loads of data and some really good video
footage from all aspects of the mission. This will take the form of short clips
here and a mission DVD. Two things we know we have already is footage from
the package looking up at the balloon and down on the ground. For the first time we
have video from the chase plane showing the descending  package on its chute.

We have Hams logged in from all over Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. Several
Houston Hams carried on QSO's from Tulsa, Oklahoma City, And Lawton.

Check back often there will be more to come.
