PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

September 1999 to present: Electronics Engineering Technician with Mitsubishi Digital Electronics Product Center Braselton, GA
Repair and testing of Mitsubishi brand televisions, mainly rear-projection units, but also DLP, plasma and LCD based TV monitors. Component level troubleshooting of circuit boards using both computer based and paper schematics and service manuals, software upgrade, isolating and replacing defective components (digital testing equipment, sophisticated soldering technology), adjusting and testing. Research and order replacement parts via internal computer network (strong SAP knowledge). As part of the Mitsubishi service team, participated in several special projects for development of field service procedures.

July 1998 to September 1999: Electronics Engineering Technician with Circuit City, Inc. Duluth, GA
Evaluated performance of direct view and projection television sets, mainly in customer's homes. Restored the equipment to factory specification. Reinstalled corrupted software and upgraded software in digital circuits. Troubleshot circuit boards to component level, ordered and replaced parts
 small size multilayer SMT printed circuit boards at component level (replacing microprocessors, video processors, memories and other SMT components as necessary) and performed required adjustments. Offered customer service and technical support for multibrand product we serviced.


May 1994 to June 1998: Business owner and manager of Telechip Service, small TV & other consumer electronics repair shop in Ludus, Romania.
Analyzed performance of consumer electronic equipment such as radio receivers, tape recorders, direct view television sets, camcorders, videocassette recorders, analog satellite receivers, utilized principles and theories of electronic circuitry engineering, mathematics and physics to assess malfunctions and repair the equipment. Performed extensive adjustments of electronic circuits in high performance video cameras and professional video editing and recording equipment using computer and jigs.


July 1981 to June 1998: Electronics Engineering Technician with Electronica, a Bucharest based TV manufacturer
Analyzed performance of consumer electronic equipment such as radio receivers, tape recorders, direct view television sets, camcorders, videocassette recorders, analog satellite receivers, utilized principles and theories of electronic circuitry engineering, mathematics and physics to assess malfunctions and repair the equipment.
