Logbook of the World & eQSL

A demonstration and discussion of these two methods of qsling was given with visual aids and a connection to the eQSL web site on the internet.

ARRL's Logbook of the World system is a repository of log records submitted by users from around the world. When both participants in a QSO submit matching QSO records to Logbook of the World, the result is a QSL that can be used for ARRL award credit. The only way to send in DXCC confirmations electronically is via the Logbook of the World.

Due to ARRL's needs for security and accuracy they do not accept eQSLs for DXCC. They say that electronic QSLs cannot be made secure enough to meet their requirements - only their Logbook of the World. https://www.arrl.org/lotw/

The purpose of eQSL.cc is to provide an electronic QSL card exchange for amateur radio around the world. They provide basic electronic QSL card exchange services to all amateurs and SWLs around the world FREE of charge.

To retrieve a QSL card from eQSL.cc goto http://www.eqsl.cc/qslcard/. You can print the card on your own printer. Cards are about the same size as a normal QSL card.
