A mobile APRS station might receive information from a GPS (Global Positioning System) receiver into a laptop computer. The computer can then process the information received from the GPS unit, and transmit the position of the mobile station, status, and other messages with a TNC and Radio on 144.39 MHz VHF or 10.151 MHz LSB on HF.
