Emergency Medical Services I was a first responder almost 20 years ago. It was a rush to help people and I dedicated myself to getting back into it. A very good friend of my wife, who has been an EMT for a number of years, helped me restart, and now I am an EMT with New Jersey and National certifications. It takes alot of time, but every second is worth it. I recently received a commendation for a particular rescue.I am lucky being a member of a great squad that emphasizes dedication to patient care, excellence and teamwork.
Actually ARES was my first introduction to Public Service Way back in High School I was active in all sorts of public serice events providing communications.It peaked my interest in doing more and I believe led in part to my EMT status today... (My family has been incredibly supportive of the long study hours involved and hours away while “on call” They were a big part of my becoming an EMT.) (more) |

ATVs I lied! Actually my kids are into ATVs with a Honda 90, Kawaski Lakota 300 and a Honda Recon. Wow this is fun! I enjoy spending time wiht them and riding in the wood especially up in the Vermont Hills exploring. We have found wonderful forests and streams that renew the spirit upon each visit! I never ride without my HT with me, just in case. My eldest son is a real “Quadder” and is interested in becoming a HAM to put a radio on the ATV... Cool! (more) |

Paintball Yep My kids got me into this too. We play with friends whenever we can. We dont tolerate cheating and emphasize safety and fair play. The kids have really latched onto it and dont put up anyone playing outside the rules. Lots of exercize and fun. Out in the woods, we keep a cell phone handy and an HT just in case. |
