DL7CX - Introduction

My name is Olaf...was born in the late 60's in Klingenthal/Saxony in the south-eastern part of Germany. ( Loc.: JO6�FJ )
My hometown has abt. 8000 inhabitants and is situated in a lovely landscape very close to the Czech Republic border.

It's nice for skiing in winter and relaxing in summer in the idyllic forests.
I was inspired by my grandpa Horst (DE 2839/U 1934-1939) and made my
first steps on the hamradio field.

Since 1979 I have been active in hamradio. I recieved my SWL-licence 1982 and in 1986 my amateur radio licence, which was Y65IN, in 1986.
I started my first homestation in 1990 and a great hobby began...
My Y65IN Call was chanced into DL1JBQ in 1992...and since April 1999 I have been working with DL7CX and I hope I do not have to change it anymore.

I'm a member of the German Amateur Radio Club - DARC e.V.
In our Section KLINGENTHAL S62....we often use our Clubcall DK�OVL or our Contestcall DM7C.

Since 2000 I'm Lifemember of the EUDXF e.V. to support DX and since 2005 I'm in the BAVARIAN CONTEST CLUB.

My other hobby are doing sports (bycicle, crosscountry skiing) and  mineralogy.
