The ship which will make the cruise around africa will be a sailing trainees ship from Ukraine. All its 3 masts are yard riged. So it is called as a 3 mast jammed ship.It was build in 1989 on a hips yard in Gdynia / Poland. |

Captain Mikhail Sukhina ist one of the last captains who rounded Cape Hoorn under sails on a real windjammer ship, like the “Kersones” it is. With many experience, everytime friendly smiling, he drives this very nice ship very responsible. |

Under ukraine flag sailing the “Khersones” is an important trainees ship for young civil cadets who make a 3 month taken education on board during their studies on the maritime school in Kerch. |
