From 1996 to date the plan was created, evaluated and re-done many times!

Now it is 2019 and over 44,000 hours of engineering, researching equipment and methods of linking, Ed settled on a base system

So, already having the beginnings of a repeater system at his residence.

For linking it was settled to use 5 Gcs.. HS Digital, using Ubiquiti's systems. While the repeaters will be Analog, DMR and P-25 systems there will, also, be a remote base or two as well ARPS!

The "Back Bone" will be using VOiP method for voice, also will be, telemetry for monitoring the health of each repeater, monitoring weather stations, video from each site and keyboard to keyboard very high speed packet.

The plans are to, initially, setup five sites, and supply a repeater stack in Williamson, where it is needed by the four wheeling Amateur Radio operators enjoying themselves!

Originally, the plan was very extensive, with many sites, but this plan is very scaled back to three sites.

As of February 2019, Ed scaled way back from the original plan. Mainly due to, at this time, he is the only one of this interests it seems there is an enormous amount of apathy in this area of the Appalachia. No one else is remotely interested in such an adequate communication system.

Below are a short list of the the sites where you will see three sets of numbers.

The first six digits are the SAME codes for the State and the next three digits, just before the "-", indicates the County where the repeaters are located, by the same SAME code. After the dash and the following four numbers are sequence of repeater sites just if there are more than one repeater site in a county.

The first is at Ed's residence and with the "-0010" sequence number indicates where the "CNC" (Command and Control) is located. all-0010s are for a control center. There may later be more than one, each being a 00#0.

Those numbers are clickable to go to that site's page, by noticing the change in your pointer converting to indicate there is a link present.

Ed is on disability, for his eyesight issue from birth, and have been trying to do this since 1995 on his own. Help him in any form will be appreciated by him as well others who joins our association.
